Honourable Doctor Sylvester Edah Tornyeavah is a distinguished individual
whose multifaceted journey encompasses roles as a dedicated educator, astute
municipal chief executive, and now, a successful entrepreneur. With a foundation laid in Akeve - Gui, where he completed his Basic school education in 1978, he embarked on a journey of knowledge and service.

After a year assisting his father on the farm, he pursued Business at Somé
Secondary School in Agbozume, graduating in 1984. His pursuit of education
continued at St. Paul's Secondary School, culminating in a Two-year Sixth Form
education in 1987. The call of teaching beckoned, leading him to Akatsi Training
College, where he completed a three-year Post-Secondary education in 1993.

Realizing the importance of further education, Dr. Tornyeavah enrolled in
Winneba University College of Education, Kumasi Campus, graduating in 2000
with a degree in Business Education, Accounting/Mathematics Option. His
dedication to education extended to a notable tenure at Atiavi Sec/Tec., where he rose to the position of Assistant Headmaster, Administration, and Board
Secretary.

In 2009, Dr. Tornyeavah took on a pivotal role as the Municipal Chief Executive
(MCE) of Keta, appointed by President John Evans Atta-Mills. This responsibility
continued with the renewal of his position by President John Mahama in 2013,
concluding in January 2017. His commitment to leadership earned him an
Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership from the Commonwealth University of
London in Benin in 2014.

A man of diverse talents, Dr. Tornyeavah currently contributes his wealth of
experience as a board member of Akatsi College of Education and thrives as an
entrepreneur. His journey stands as a testament to the transformative power of
education, dedication, and leadership in shaping both individuals and
communities.
